Superman and Lois Lane art by Dean Trippe
Lois felt Superman’s neck with her fingers. “No,” she said quietly. She gently cradled the Man of Steel’s face in her hands. “Wake up, Superman! Please wake up!”
“Hello, Lois,” came Superman’s raspy voice. Lois looked down in shock to see the Man of Steel staring up at her.
“I’m fine,” Superman said weakly. “Just a little tired.”
“You don’t look fine,” Lois said. Then Lois suddenly slapped him on the S-shield on his chest. “You scared me!” she cried. “I thought we’d lost you forever.”

I’m going to hold onto this ship. Lois and Clark are meant to be together, and I’m a man who’ll fight for that.

Better late than never—here’s my tribute to Lois and Superman. I remain a staunch BatCat shipper in the DCU but I respectfully bow down to the pairing who started it all!
